Shat Karma
The six purificatory techniques. Before commencing pranayama, any imbalance in the dosas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) should be removed/balances. In Hatha Yoga there are six particular practices which were specifically designed for this purpose. They are called Shatkarma.

Prerequisites of Course
  • A basic knowledge of English is enough to understand and participate in the training. Your teachers will assist you during the extra time if required, so that you may better understand the sessions.
  • All Classes/Sessions are mandatory. At Adhiroha, our Yoga Teacher Training program is a well-thought, experience-based framework. Wherein, every session is planned around a particular time for a reason. As you progress every week, you will explore the bigger picture of the training. Therefore, we require your undivided attention and desire to learn during the training period. In Yoga competition is not with anyone but yourself. Listen to your body/mind, understand your limits and try to progress day after day.
Evaluation and Certification
Assessments for certification will be based on practicals, homework assignment evaluation, as well as a minimum of 90% attendance. There are different set-standards of measurements put in place to assess the abilities of the students progress, including ethical yogic behaviour. Students need to follow general guidelines of the program and basic rules of the ashram. Students who successfully complete the TTC course, will be awarded with Adhiroha – 200 Hour Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training Certificate - Registered with US Yoga Alliance.

What is the difference in 200 Hour Yoga TTC, 300 Hour Yoga TTC and 500 Hour Yoga TTC?
200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course is a first level yoga course especially designed for the novice and beginners who want to explore and learn the basics of yoga in order to built a strong foundation.
300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course is an advanced level yoga course for the intermediate and Yoga familiar practitioners.
It is necessary to complete your 200 Hour YTTC before you enrol for 300 Hour YTTC. 500 Hour YTTC is an integration of 200 Hour YTTC and 300 Hour YTTC.
Will I be eligible to teach yoga after completing 200 Hour Yoga TTC?
After successfully completing the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course, students are eligible to teach and train others as per Yoga Alliance standards.
However, Adhiroha sincerely advices all its students to invest 4-6 months of dedicated time into self practice and exploring the field of yoga before you start teaching.
Moreover if a student wants to pursue yoga as a career, it is advisable to go through with the advanced level course which is 300 Hour Yoga TTC, so student have more knowledge, information & yoga wisdom to pass on.
Is the certification of 200 Hour Yoga TTC valid Internationally?
The Adhiroha certification is registered with US Yoga Alliance and is valid and accredited internationally in most of the countries.
Can I complete the 200 Hour Yoga TTC in two parts?
No, we do not divide the 200 hour YTTC into 100-100 hours. We take what we teach very seriously and we expect our students to do the same once they begin teaching, therefore Adhiroha recommends its students to invest minimum time period of 3 weeks in order to learn the course in a proper manner, gain and feel the benefits of the course with the real essence.
To be a Teacher is not the purpose of joining the 200 Hour Yoga TTC. Can I still join that?
Irrespective to what your purpose is, yoga is for everyone. With the right lessons, it has the capacity to make ones life better so that you can enjoy the real essence of living. In Goa alone, a great percentile of the candidates join Yoga Teacher Training Courses for their own health benefits and mental wellbeing.
